DUO & CCO VDI System

Duo Two Factor Authentication has been added to the Corporate Controller’s Office VDI system. This will NOT change how you launch or connect to your VDI. Whether you are using an RDP file to connect to your VDI, or if you are accessing it from the Start Menu, that process will remain the same.

After using either method to connect to your VDI, you will see the following authentication box.

You may have enabled the option to have the connection save your credentials. In that case, you will automatically be signed in to your VDI, and you will not see the authentication box shown above. After the VDI launches, you will see the following screen.

Duo is configured to not send an automatic push. This will allow you to choose what device you want to use, as well as the authentication method. After authenticating with Duo, the login process will proceed as it normally would.

The Duo authentication process is integrated with the Windows login. This means that any time you login to your VDI, you will receive the Duo prompt. This will be the case whether it’s the initial login or if you’re reconnecting to a disconnected session.
