Human Resources VPN

Human Resources is in mid-transition from the Office of the President Virtual Desktop (VDI) technology to new laptops.  For those individuals who are still using the VDI solution, you can remotely access your VDI from any computer with Internet Access, no VPN required.

For those who have been migrated to the new laptops, the following instructions will show you how to connect to the HR VPN.

  1. You must have a mobile device registered with DUO Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
  2. Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client installed on your workstation.

  3. Select the PSU-OHR-VPN profile from the dropdown.

  4. If you do not have the HR profile, paste https://vpn.its.psu.edu/PSU-OHR-VPN into the white dropdown box, this will add that profile.

  5. Click on the Connect button, you will be prompted to enter your user id and password, please use your Penn State user id and password and click on the OK button.

  6. DUO on your mobile device will prompt you to authorize the connection.
  7. Click on the Accept button, the application will minimize to your notification tray.

  8. When finished, click on the Disconnect button.
